Colton Goes Camping

Nanan: What do you want to do when you grow up?
C: I want to go in space!
Nanan: And what would you do in space?
C: I want to chase down all the star ships!

C: Where's Dad?
Me: He went to call Opa.  He has to drive a little bit until he can get reception.
C: Yeah, cuz we're way out in Pittsburgh!

C: I'll get it!
Me: I've got it.
C: Why do you always get things when I say I'm going to?
Me: Because I'm the meanest mom ever.
C: You need to stop being mean!
Me: Or?
C: I'm going to stop paying you!
Good ol' threat to the mom salary...

Colton Does Father's Day

Bestest boys ever!
Me: Wow, check out the mountain! (Rainier)
C: It almost looks like a volcano!
Me: It is a volcano.
C: I can't believe I just saw a volcano!

Me: Are you awake?  Do you want to come with me to get donuts?
C: I'm too tired... Oh wait, I wanna come!
Me: I'm going to go put on some coffee while you get dressed.
C: I need something too.  I'm too tired to get dressed.
Me: Okay, I'll make you some hot chocolate.

Me: That sneaky Dad is already awake and knows we're going to get donuts.
C: It doesn't matter because he doesn't know what kind we're gonna pick out.

Guy at Frost: Are you drinking coffee too?
C: No, it's hot chocolate!  (he just had to take it in with him)

Me: When I was a kid, we went camping on the boat.
C: WHAAaaaT?!

Sailing with Granddad!
Took Colton to see the Magic Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle on Friday ~
Me: What was your favorite cure?
C: The pirate cure!

Me: You have some serious stick-em-up hair today.
C: That's the way I want it!

Colton's Concert

Mom & Mrs. Gerla coordinated outfits
C: I'm feeling like in the morning, I might want to do an art project!
Really?  How unlike you!

Post-concert trip out to ice cream with Nanan, Grandma, Granddad, and Mom.

5th blur from the left in the top row, singing Bye Bye Baby Tooth.

And from earlier in the week, here's Colton's house ~

So you too can have your very own cardboard, tin foil-roofed house to live in when it's pouring down rain outside. And it will only be a head taller than Colton, so if you're taller than that, you can crawl, he says.
