Colton Does Mother's Day

D: Water-pool?
Me: Sorry, buddy, it's too cold out there.
C: Then why is it sunny?!

Me: Hopefully we'll luck out and it won't rain when we go up to Camano.
C: Yeah, because it's closest to the sun.

C: When are we going to get the sister?
Me: Pretty soon.  Our paperwork is all done.
C: Yeah, because I'm really lonely back here in the back seat all by myself.

C (sees an extra car seat): Are we stopping to get a sister on the way home?!
LOL, yeah, we'll just stop at WalMart.  They have everything there!

C: When are we gonna have more babies at home?
Me: I'm pretty sure we're all done having babies.
C: You should just have 200, so when they're my age and you want to relax, we can just do all the work.
Me: That would be a lot of babies to cook.
C: Huh?
Me: It takes 9 months before babies are ready to come out.
C: You can have four at a time!
Me: Uhhh.. That still sounds like an awful lot of work to me.

Colton on Laundry

C: When we get the sister, maybe she can put away my clothes!
Me: Nice try, bubba, but no.

C: Do you know what the hardest animal is to hunt?
Me: Hum?
C: Porcupines.  They have really hard quilts.

Old McColton Had a Farm

C: Wouldn't it be nice if we had a sheep?
Me: Gotta have pasture to have sheep.
C: What's that?
Me: A big, grassy area like Nana has.
C: Oh. I'm gonna have that, and my house will be VERY far away.
Me: Well, we'll miss you.
C: It'll just be 3 blocks away, so you could just walk that far.
Me: Yeah. Are you going to have a big house or a little house?
C: A big house! Just probably big enough for 3 people.
Me: Oh, so you're going to have 3 kids?
C: No, for you and Dad so you can live there. Not the boys because they're very noisy!

C: I hope the Tooth Fairy brings me $100,000!
Me: I don't think the Tooth Fairy is that rich.
C: Seriously, it could happen, Mom!

C: When I grow up, I'm gonna train dragons.
He's super into How to Train Your Dragon right now.

On driving in the snow ~
C: Mom, you need to drive really carefully and try to not let anyone hit you.

Colton Is Trapped

Me: You need to write tripped three times.
C: I'm just going to spell trapped.
Me: You can... but don't misspell it, or you'll need to write it three times.

Me: You need to go put your shoes away, please.
C: And then will you just do everything I want?
Me: That's a little rude. Try again.
C: Will you please just do everything I want?
Me: Still rude, but what specifically are you asking?
C: Will you please turn on the TV for me?
Me: I would be happy to.

Watching figure skating ~
C: I played the Wii game of that.

Watching the halfpipe ~
C: Can I just have a few lessons to learn how to do that?!

C: I need to stop.  I'm getting too old to do this.

Fishing for Compliments

C's nook under the stairs
...and as always, he is a backwards boy
C: I know where all the fish hide.  And it's the beginning of the year, so this trip will be easy.

C: When I'm a Mite (hockey), my team will still win because I'll be scoring all the goals.
At least he's humble.

Holding up his Sbux card ~
C: You can almost see the dollar inside!

Too beautiful to come straight home today!

Colton in Game Boy

Victory lunch for a hat trick boy!
C: I have only one wish.
Me: Yeah?  What's that?
C: That I am a Power Ranger when I grow up.  You have to be a teenager before you can be a Power Ranger.

First game of the season....a hat trick!
Second game of the season...4 goals & 2 assists!
C: I give this sandwich 8 thumbs up, but I don't have 8 thumbs.
Dad: You should work on that.

KOMO was at C's game - look for C #82 with
green socks in Eric's Little Heroes!
C: I'm not gonna argue about hockey anymore.  I like hockey now.  It just took me a while to get used to it.
Just 3 years... but yay for no arguing about going to practice!

C completes his new Lego set in less than 10 minutes ~
Me: Wow, was it worth the $13?
C: No Mom, it was worth $14, remember?

C: Will you play Tapple with me, Mom?
Me: Sorry buddy, I've had a realllly long day and don't want to think any more.
C: Don't worry, I'll remind you of the words!

C plays Tapple by himself

Colton Reads in Spanish

Mom's old Kindle being put to good use!
C: Mom? Will you take my boots off. They're too dirty for me.
Me: Oh thanks.

C: Mom! I read my first Spanish word! So-co!
Me: Close, Suduko. And it's Japanese, bud.

C (wearing a laundry basket on his head): Now I have something to entertain me when I'm coming down the stairs.

C (reading the menu): I can read it with my super x-ray eyes.
Dad: When did you get those installed?
C: Just now.
Dad: I see. With what money?
C: I've got money in my mind.
Me: Oh good, so you can pay for dinner.

C: I'm starting to become a super hero!  Just look at my cape!

C: Now Dad's probably not going to win this.
...  Dad has no way of winning this game!
Gosh, Dad is easily defeated when he's not there to play!

Colton on Santa

Dad: Let's go get you a haircut.
C: Are you kidding? I'm almost bald right here!

C: The reason there's less and less candy on here is because Santa keeps coming.

C: Dad, I just need some plugs or batteries to finish building my train to go around the Christmas tree.
Dad: Do you have an electric train to go on it?
C: No, but we could make one.
Dad: I appreciate the enthusiasm, but that's a lot harder than it sounds.
C: So you could help.

Colton's Secret Identity

Decorating Granddad's tree ~
the tongue helps.
C: It's hard for people to tell me apart because
I look like a Ninja Turtle, but I'm a human.
C: I know the reason the sushi store isn't open on Sunday is because they have to make more sticky rice.

Part cat?
First tooth!
C: What are you going to ask Santa for?
Me: Hmm, what should I ask him for?
C: Things that give you hugs, so it will remind you of me.

C: I have a secret that Bridger can't know. I'm really a ninja, okay? But you can't tell Bridger.

Sick day 😥
C: I'm already freezing because it's been a long time since I wore this coat, and it needs to get used to the cold.

Second tooth!

Colton Wants a House

Mr. Suave
C: When I'm 13 and know how to drive, can I buy a house?
Me: You can drive when you're 16, though you probably won't have enough money to buy a house by then.
C: If I get lucky, the tooth fairy will just give me $1,000.
Me: Mmm, the tooth fairy isn't that rich.  Usually you get $0.50 or a $1.  Why do you want your own house?
C: So I can have as much screen time as I want.  And also so it's more quieter. So I don't have babies screaming in my ear all the time.  And if I already have a car, and still have money left over, I'm going to go to a place where they have dogs, and get a little dog.  And I'll also go to the store and get some treats, because my dog might like treats.

Second pair
C: I like these glasses better because they're more in style.
Who is this child?!
