so we moved them upstairs to C's new desk.

C: Do you know what I would like for my birthday?
Me: What?

C: Like XCOM powers.
Me: I think somebody's been playing too much Xbox.
C: Or word ball. Or flying powers!

C: MOOOOOOM!  MOOOM!  MOM!

Me: You'll have to wait!
C: Wait a minute!

Me: Exactly!

C: I took that from Jordan.

Me: Did you tell him thank you for giving it to you?

C: Jordan, I am telling you thanks!

Me: Not quite what I meant, but okay.

C: Wait a Jordan!

Me: Wait a train!

C: Wait a crossing!

Me: Wait a Colton Henry!

C: I'm not a Colton Henry!

Me: Yes, you are!  Henry is your middle name, silly.

C: But Mom, what is gonna happen?

Me: Nothing buddy, it's going to be a quiet night.

C: But I will build a track and there will be a landslide! And that tree is going to fall down!
Me: I hope not!  That tree is very strong.  It's not going to fall down. When trees are wide like that, it means they are pretty old and strong.
C: And Mom, I see lots of old trees.

9:30pm (Colton's been in bed for an hour)
C: MOOOOOOM! MOOOM! MOM!
Me: Yeah?
C: I have a problem.
Me: What's your problem?
C: I don't know how to make applesauce.
Me: I'm sure we can find a recipe in the morning, buddy.
C: Yeah, and I will make it all by myself! With mashed up apples and cinnamon and ....
