Colton on Groundhog's Day

Testing out what was supposed to be the
twin's bed for camping, only it's way too small...
but nicely fits a folded Colton.

Me: Looks like we're gonna have an early spring.
C: Is the groundhog magic?
Me: No, but he does always seems to know.

C: We should have an early lunch since we're gonna have an early summer, right?

C: Since spring is coming early, my birthday will be earlier too!  Can you not wait?

Me: You get a 5-minute penalty for fighting at hockey.
C: Actually, you only get a 2-minute penalty for fighting.
Me: Not at your level.  And it's 2 minutes for roughing, and 5 for fighting... so you get 5.

C: I have a speedy car!
Me: You do? What color is it?
C: Silver!
Me: Is it a sports car, a station wagon, or a mini van?
C: It's a silver minivan!

We mosey over to the playground and he goes to steer.  To some random kid ~ 
C: This is my car!  It's a silver minivan!

Me: Oh, I got the candy cane!

C: Now you don't get to win!

Me: Are you gonna be tall like Mama?

C: Yeah, if I take lots of naps.

C: I don't want to leave (the park)!  I want to stay here forever & ever!

Me: That's a long time.  What happens when it gets dark?

C: I just want to stay til breakfast.

C: Is it summer? 

Me: No, buddy.. 41° and sunny does not a summer make.

C: When I am all done playing in my sandbox, I want to go swimming out here!

Again, it's a little on the cold side today!
