Colton Does President's Day

C: The red ones are roses, the yellow ones are dandelions, and the orange ones are buttercups.
Me: Those are all my favorites!

C: And you know why I brought you flowers?
Me: Why?
C: Because I was about to marry you!  Because it was President's Day. 

C: Mom? Will you dress pretty tomorrow?
Me: Uhm, sure?
...
Dad: The reason you have to dress pretty is because there is a wedding on the stage Colton made, and you need to attend. 

C: Sometimes, when people don't feel well, some people make things to make them feel better. 

Colton made me a picture, brought me flowers, and was going to make me a book--because my Kindle is not considered a book. ;)

Colton Gets Dressed

Skating 2/20

C: I like going skating here! I hadn't been here in a long time!
Me: You've never been skating here.

Me: What was your favorite part of the day?
C: No, I want you to ask me what was my favorite part of the night?
Me: Okay, what was your favorite part of the night?
C: Skating!

He did the Hokey Pokey, the Chicken Dance, and regular skate and hardly fell at all - even whilst *jumping* on his skates!  What fun!

C: How does my dress look like?

Me: It looks lovely!

C: It looks gorgeous!  And bumpfy!

Me: Bumpfy?  Sure, it looks bumpfy.

C: I made you some tea! But you just get a little bit, because I am very firsty!  You don't get a cup as big as your head.

C: I'm trying to give you a kiss!
Me: Okay, give me a kiss and then go to sleep. 
C: And now I'm going to give myself a kiss!

Thunder Knob Hike

Loooong way to drive for a short hike (2 hr drive each way). It was pretty, but the toddler had tired legs today and the hill at the start pretty much did him in. We hiked up about .6 miles, sat down and had lunch. Very pretty drive on another glorious day. Ended at home by firing up the BBQ....in Feb!
