Me: What did you do today?
C: I was going to play outside but I decided to help make dinner. Was that nice of me?
Me: Yeah, buddy.  Did you help Dad cook?
C: Yeah, and when I was wearing mittens for the stove and I got to push the pan back in place.

On making Easter eggs ~
C: Will you tell Granddad how to do it? You need to whisper it in his ear.

Dad: Ever heard the phrase, "A watched pot never boils?"
C: No, I'm just going to keep watching until it boils.

C: You need to buy me a present. 
Me: You don't need a present, you're going to the zoo tomorrow.
C: How about on Monday?
Me: I'm working on Monday.
C: Okay, in 9 days.
Me: We'll see. 

LOL... I wish I had a picture of it, but C was making the babies' hair stand up by rubbing his balloon on their heads.

C: I want to eat dinner downstairs.  Would that be a good idea?
Me: Probably not.  Chili is kinda messy.
C: But I'll keep it in my mouth! And when it's warm and gooey and almost to my tummy, I'll put another bite in!

C: I run really fast because I take my vitamins!

Me: What was your favorite part of the day?
C: All of it!

C: We must be really careful!  Those wagons of marables are pretty naughty!

C: Hello, ma'am!

Me: Hello, sir!

C: No, I'm not a sir!  We're both ma'ams! 

C: I am so happy!
Me: I'm glad you're happy.
C: Are you really happy?
Me: I'm pretty tired.
C: And just a little happy?
Me: And happy.
