Rocket Man!

Me: Hurry-hurry-hurry!
C: Activate cheetah power!

C: You know what would be nice?
Me: What's that?
C: If Dad would come into my room and turn the piano way down and play me some music while I sleep.

Dad: I'm going to have to talk to your mom about having ice cream tonight since it's so late.
...
C: You know what we need to talk about, Mom?  Having ice cream!

Colton Does Labor Day

Labored from playing on Labor Day
C: Mom, I am so sleepy.
Me: Me too.  Will you read me a story and tuck me in when we get home?
C: No.  Daddy can.

C: Can you bring my iPod?
Me: I'll bring *my* iPod, and you can play on it.

C: What if this balloon was tall enough to reach the ceiling?
Me: I don't know, what if?
C: Then it could make a birthday party!

C: Is this the only balloon we need for a birthday party?
Me: Usually, you need more than 1.
C: Do we need 1 and a hundred?
Me: 5 is a good number.

The balloon was great entertainment tonight. We're talking a solid hour of blowing it up and letting it go!

C: I will hug you a long, long time until you tickle me!

C: Will you change my music?
Me: You don't want to listen to Tron again?
C: Yeah, but some of it annoyed me.
Me: I see.
C: You have to start it where Dad started it!  And then? When I woke up? It was "The Grid" again!  Is that amazing?
Me: Yep, pretty amazing.  Night, buddy!

Colton Watches Thomas

C: Which one [episode] is gonna come up next?
Me: I don't know.
C: Let me look at the ground. [Colton looks at the ground, then back up at the TV.]
C: Look, it's this one!

I didn't know the TV guide was on the floor.

~ * ~

Me: Let's go up for dinner!
C: NO, I WANT TO STAY DOWN HERE AND PLAY ALL DAY AND WATCH THOMAS!

Don't we do that every day?

~ * ~

C: Dad, I'm fixing Mommy's footies. And it needs one more, so Mom, you need to lift your footie.

Colton Watches Hockey

C: I'm so excited to watch hockey!
Dad & the monkey
Colton really got into the game
The team Dr stopped us on the way
up the stairs and gave C a game puck!

On the way to the rink ~
C: Look both ways to cross the street!
Me: We have to wait for the walking signal.
C: Hi, walking guy!
