Colton Goes to the Pumpkin Patch

C: But...
Me: No buts.
C: I have a butt!

Colton picks a gourd.

Granddad grabs Colton for a hug bye ~
C: I need down!  I need to see my people!

Mama made pumpkin cranberry muffins...
Colton is in a beater coma!

C: Where am I staying tonight?
Me: Here with me!
C: Are you going to be there in the morning?
Me: I have to work, buddy. 
C: But you are my very special friend, and I want you to be there at night and in the morning.
Aww...

Not bad for my first attempt at pumpkin carving!

Me: C'mon buddy, up to bed!

C: But I want to see the pumpkins again!

Me: You can see them in the morning.

C: Will they be light (lit) in the morning? 

Me: Yeah, buddy.  Night-night!

Colton in the News

C: Why is the noise quiet?
Not sure how to answer that one, buddy.

Sadly, "the news" met an unfortunate end and had to be thrown away.  A few pages had fallen off, so I was able to recreate some of the Thomas catalog, and threw in the inserts to a couple of his DVDs... Look, good as new!

And in other news, Colton was IN the news.  Or at least in the advertising for the Children's Museum.  Cool! 

 Trying to drink the water in the water room... LOL!

The downside to the new "news" is he now requests Thomas episodes from Netflix and knows them on sight!

Me: It's bedtime when this is over.
C: But first there will be some dots!
Me: It’s Percy!
C: No, it’s a BIG engine!
Me: Hmm, it’s Toby!
C: No, it has a tender!
Me: Rosie!
C: No, it’s gonna be Gordon! See, it’s Gordon. You just don’t have to fight.

Dinner Time Naps

C: You can't take my picture!
Me: Why not?  It's fun!
C: It's not funny!

This is the 2nd time today that he snuck in a nap.
Just when I thought we were done with naps...

Once he finally woke up & had some dinner, he then requested some Sesame Street.  No problem.  Enter Daddy and Daddy trying to say something to me...

C: I'M TRYING TO HEAR MY ELMO! 

To which Dad just threw up his hands.  LOL

Me: C'mon kiddo, it's story time!

C: I am too busy.

Me: I'm going up and read your stories then!

C: NO, YOU CAN'T! NOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Me: And I'm going to wear your jammas! So soft and comfy...

C: NO, NO, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Me: Well, c'mon then.

C: But, I am too busy!

Hold, Please.

C: Mom, I will tell you what to do because I am the Colton!
Well, then.  Carry on.

C: Look at me, Mom!  I'm too tall to be a good hider!

C: Let's get out and fix the oil.

C: I'm gonna set it on fire! 
Me: I hope not!
C: Here Mom, hold my charging stick!

C: I hear a train!  It's a big, long one and it's going to Snohomish!

Me: You okay, buddy?
C: I just fall down and don't need any help.

And then he came in with a mouthful of sand...
C: I ate sand.
Me: I see that.  Go rinse your mouth out.

Sigh.

C: Look Mom, I found magic!
