C: I'm thinking we should have spaghetti for dinner!
Dad: I haven't pulled anything, but I think your mom said something about breakfast for dinner.
C: YAY!

Me: How's your nose today?
C: It's not any better. I have an idea! I think you need to take real good care of me.

Spring snow - 3/22/13

C: And maybe we can get a cute little puppy!
Me: Mmm, not while we have babies.
C: Well, when I'm the parent, I'm just going to have three puppies!
Me: Are you going to have three kids too?
C: No, I'm just going to have FOUR dogs!

C: Do you know why there wasn't much snow out there?
Me: Why?
C: Because most of it was in a ball.

Colton Goes to Oma & Opa's

Dad: Pretty soon you should be able to see stars!
C: And I know that all the white things in the sky aren't stars.
Me: You're right.  Some of them are planets.
C: And airplanes!

Dad: Colton! Maybe when we get to Oma & Opa's we can go out and use the star app on my phone and see what stars we see.

C: Dad, could you pass back my phone so I can look at the stars?
Dad: Your phone?
C: Yeah.
Dad: When we get to Oma & Opa's.
C: How about just right here?

C: (gasp) Blue is my favorite color!
Dad: It is, huh?
C: Yeah! Blue is my most favoriteist color! And so is green!
Dad: Oh? What about yellow?
C: Yellow's my favorite too! And red, and orange, and green, and purple, and blue!

C: And nothing's going to get better; it's not!

Me: We have to go pick up a ferret today.
C: And I am going to call my ferret Elephant!

C: Why are you taking that cage apart?
Me: So it will fit in my car.  We needed a new cage for you.

C: But why are we leaving the cage here? I need my cage!
Me: I was teasing. We're not really getting a cage for you.
C: But can I go in Shrek's crate? 
Me: Sure, if you want.

Dad: You have stick 'em up hair today, buddy.
C: Yeah, and I colored it too!
Dad: You colored your hair?
C: Yeah.
Dad: What color?
C: Purple.  Is that silly, Dad?
Dad: It is, buddy.
