Me: Did you have a good sleep, buddy?
C: I just slept a little bit.  I was just a little tired. 
(He slept fine ~ from 8pm til 8am!)

C: Don't eat Santa's reindeer!
Dad: Too late, I ate him!
C: No!  Take him out of your mouth!  Oh wait, he's not quite out, I have to measure him!

(He's in to measuring things today... the dog, his games, the door, etc)

C: I'm still in my jammies!

Me: Me too!

C: Oh, but you can wear my jammies!

Me: I think they might be a bit short.

C: No, they fit perfect!

Me: If you say so.

Doing yoga ~

C: Look at me! I made a tent! (downward dog)



C: This is my favorite mat to exercise!  (blanket)  I have to roll it up. 

Me: Do a cat stretch like this.  Or just put your head and feet on the floor at the same time like you're doing.  Whatever works!

Colton Goes to Lacrosse

C: Twinkle, twinkle little star, how I wonder what you are. Up above the world so high, down in the valley on the Polar Express we GOOOO!  Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way!

C: I found money!
Me: Are you rich?
C: Huh?
Me: Rich is when you have lots of money.
C: But I just have two monies.

Me: Tired, buddy?
C: No, I don't have any yawns.

C: Is this the way to the 'crosse game?
Me: No, this is the way to Starbucks.
C: Oh.  And then can we go to the 'crosse game?
Me: That's the plan, monkey man.

After the game ~
C: Is it Dad's birthday?
Me: No, buddy.  After we go to the hockey game in Arizona and get off the airplane, then it will be Dad's birthday.
C: Dad, it's gonna be your birthday after we watch the hockey game and get off the airplane!
Dad: I know!  Are you going to buy me presents?
C: No, but I will eat all your cake!

Colton Helps Jordan Celebrate

     Stupid phone ate all my pictures. Here's one
from the boy's sick day yesterday. 

C: It's too dark in outer space!

C: Mom, my nose is stuck on my face! Can you get it off?

Me: Would you like a burrito or mac & cheese for dinner?
C: I would like a mac & cheese burrito!

C: I will blow all your songs away!
Me: Why?
C: I don't like them.
Me: It's the Black Eyed Peas, you do too like them!
C: I will take all your songs and houses away and eat them!
Me: What do songs and houses taste like?
C: Chocolate!  And houses taste like marshmallows!  But we can't cook them.
Me: Good to know.



Me: What was your favorite thing today?

C: Playing in Eric (outer) space and turning on the light and saying it's morning time!

C: Mom, it was a puppy and a kitty and then it's not.

Me: I see.

C: I think I'm sick. I cough and have the hiccups.

Colton Makes Pupcakes

The dog had a noxious SBD ~
C: It smells yummy and icky!

Me: Why don't you go do you puzzle for a little bit?
C: No, I don't want to! I'm afraid of it!

Little guy got too rambunctious at story-time and we wrapped it up short ~
Us: Love you!  See you in the morning!
C: I don't! I'm too sad to talk!

Singing (loudly) ~
C: One-a-pum-pum!
Pretty sure it's the Little Drummer Boy. 

C: If I don't have enough blankies, I will get cold.
Me: You sleep with 5, I think you'll be fine.
C: Do you want to sleep in my bed?
Me: I'm good, buddy. I like my bed.
C: No! You like my bed and I will sleep in yours!
Me: You're sleeping with Daddy?
C: Yeah!

C: When I yawn, that means I'm not tired.
Me: *yawn*  When I yawn, what does that mean?
C: That you're tired.
Me: I am a little sleepy.  I didn't sleep so well last night.
C: Yeah, and I woke up in the night and yelled, and blew my whistle long and loud!
Me: I heard you cough a few times, but not yell.
C: Oh. Well, I did.

Colton Is Ready to Celebrate

Me: What time is it?
C: It's middle o'clock! 

C: On Jordan's Birthday, I will go and decorate the purple museum!  I'll bring the flags and crowns so we can celebrate!

C: Can I wear this birthday crown to Jordan's birthday?
Me: Sure.
C: Do you have a birthday crown?
Me: No, I only got one at the marathon I ran.
C: I will run TWO marathons and get a crown for me & you!
Me: I'm sure you will.

Getting frustrated with his laptop ~
C: I can't play this game!  It's not for little boys.

Colton Gets a Special Gift

Auntie Bridgette created a very special, customized
version of memory for Colton.  So cool! 

C: JINGLE BELLS, JINGLE BELLS, JINGLE ALL THE WAY!  Mom, I think I don't know any Christmas songs.
Me: Jingle Bells is a Christmas song.
C: Oh, but I don't know "Dashing Through the Snow."

The washer starts it's cycle ~
C: Hey, my dad is home!

C: I have to turn all my names up! 

C: You didn't get the match! *gales of laughter*

C: Can you see me in this dark?
Me: Nope, too dark.

Colton Faces Off?

C: Look at the sparkly ice!  And I went skiing on it!  And I fell down.
Me: I hope you're okay.
C: My face just fell off.
Me: Oh dear!
Dad: What'd you use to put it back on?
C: A rope!

C: I have one more story!
Me: What's your story?
C: One day, when I was driving my garbage truck. I got GARBAGE and took it to the DUMP!
Me: Good idea!
C: Yeah, and then I went to the viaduct, but I didn't go over the viaduct.  And then I took the garbage to the RAVINE!
Me: Yeah?
C: Yeah!  And then I dumped it in the RAVINE and then got a rope to take it all out, and then I put it back in the garbage truck!
C: And I have one more story!
I'm afraid to ask.

C: I made you rab-e-oloi!
Me: I love ravioli!
C: Do you want this one, this one, this one, or this one?
Me: That one.
C: This one?  No.  That one's Dad's!

C: Do you want the yellow or the red Play-Doh?
Me: Mmm, the red.
C: No, it wasn't on sale.

C: It's kind of a sushi!  Here's your sushi!  Can I have a sushi?  Thank you for sharing!

Me: You need to clean up your blocks before you play mara-bles.
C: I think I need to take a break.

C: I'm teaching you how to ski!

C: I can't see you!  There's too much stuff in my eye!  Play-Doh too! 

C: Look, I made a nose cookie!  Do you want to eat it?

In the bath ~
C: Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the WAY! Oh what fun it is to ride with more soap, HEY!

C: Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the WAY! Oh what fun it is to ride in the horse soap and sleigh!

C: You need strong bones to be healthy!

C: When I was 2, I almost had a birthday!  And now I'm 1-2-free!
