My Knight in Shining Armor
At Pump It Up ~
C: I'm so excited I can hear the air!
Me: You didn’t wear your listening ears today.
C: They’re broken.
Me: We’re going to have to get you some new ones.
C: There aren’t any. Everyone just took them.
Me: We should get yours fixed then.
C: We’ll have to take them to the mechanic.
Me: Who’s the mechanic?
C: Dad.
Me: I’m sure he’d be happy to fix your ears.
C: Denton needs to noose. He’s sucking his thumb, so he should noose.
C: What if we were all kings? And all the girls would be queens and princesses. And you would be a princess.
Me: A princess? How come?
C: Because you didn’t get enough points.
Me: And how do you get points?
C: You didn’t get enough medals. You only have 6, and you need 6 million medals!
Guess I better get running…
C: And Dad is the king!
Me: How come he is a king and not a prince? He doesn’t have any medals.
C: Because kings don’t need anything to be kings. They just wear crowns on their heads.
Me: Are you a king?
C: No, I am a knight!
C: And princesses cook the food, that’s why you need to be the princess.
C: The babies are baby knights and as they get more medals, they get closer and closer to being a king.
Me: I thought you didn’t need any medals to be king?
C: When they grow, they get more and more medals. Make sense?
Me: Not really.
C: But it has to! Believe me!
C: And when I get married, I’m gonna be married 6 billion times! Because I don’t want to have no Christmas bells.
C: What would you like the knight in shining armor to do?
Me: Go play.

Colton, the Gardener
C: Are you watering all the plants?
Me: Yep. If I water you, will you grow?
C: No, it will just make me stronger.
Kesha comes on the radio ~
C: This is not the right song. This is not the song I like!
Yes!
C: Can I have one of those coffees when I'm older?
Me: Yes.
C: When I'm 14?
Me: Sure, that's a good time.
C: Do you see that smoke? It's dinner! It's our neighborhood having dinner!
C: Let's check the zucchini! Here's one! Can I start eating it?
Me: Uhm, don't you want to cook it first?
C: Yes.

It's Not Easy Being Green...
Me: Did you have fun today?
C: No, I had a sad day. (Colton was sad about leaving Sarah & Jordan’s a few minutes before)
Me: That makes me sad.
C: No, Mama, you can’t be sad. Only one guy can be sad!
Me: What did you do today?
C: I played in the mettles!
Me: The blackberry bushes?
C: Yeah.
Me: Did you like meeting Nana’s new goats?
C: No, I had a sad time. (Still sad about leaving Sarah & Jordan's)
Me: That’s too bad.
C: Seeing the blackberry bushes will make me happy!
Dinner conversation ~
C: The kitty was making me nonsense!
Me: Nauseous?
C: Yeah. The kitty was making me nonsense!
While driving ~
C: Dad, you have to stop at the stop sign.
Dad: I will, buddy.
C: Yeah, because it spells STOP.
On the way home ~
Me: Should we go for a run?
C: Yeah and I want to go to the park! And Mom, you can't run too fast.
Me: I won't; don't worry.
C: You can't run too fast because I will get very hot.
And one last one... the second time I went up to tuck him into bed ~
C: Mom, it's been so long since I seen you, and I needed to see you because I very missed you.
Aww...
C: No, I had a sad day. (Colton was sad about leaving Sarah & Jordan’s a few minutes before)
