Colton Is Buff

C: What can I do right now?
Me: Dad and I are busy, so you'll need to find something to do.
C: I can just lift some weights.

C: Before we lift some weights, we need to exercise!
Me: I already went running this morning.
C: Okay, so I'll just run up these stairs two times.

C: Mom, my muscles aren't getting very big!  (showing me his shoulder out the neck of his shirt)

C: And when I am big and strong like the Hulk, I can just lift this house like it's 100 lbs!

C: This snow tastes good! (ice collected on his hockey socks)
Me: Ew, don't eat that.
C: Why?
Me: Because that's ice that has hockey player cooties all over it.

C: Why are there only commercshnells about Hondas?

C is weightlifting right now so he can "attack"
(wrestle with) Dad later.
C: The nuts on this cake mean it's kinda healthy, right?
Me: Not even the slightest bit.

Colton Keeps Me in Check

Colton's had a rough time transitioning back to being in school, and thus did not earn his screen time the other day.

C: Why do you ALWAYS get screen time and I don't?  It's not fair!
Me: You know, you're right.  It's not fair, so I will put it away.

C: Remember, Mom, no screen time because that wouldn't be fair.
Me: I do get to check my email so I can talk to your dad.
C: Okay.

Colton finishes taking a bath ~
C: You're just checking your email, right?  Because no screen time until tomorrow.
Me: Right.

C: Can you not wait until tomorrow?
Me: Why?
C: Because you can play your game again!

Colton Does Christmas

C:  Since you've been the best mom, I'm going to give you a dollar!

C: Why does Dad always have to go to work?  Why didn't he get money in his stocking?

C: Amn't I the luckiest boy?

C: I'm bored watching too much TV.  Jordan, watching too much TV makes your brain hurt.
(We haven't even made it through an entire movie yet)

Me: I'm dead, so I can't eat ice cream.
C: Well, I had a health weapon so now you can eat more good ice cream.

Jordan: Tip-toe!
C: No, we can walk on our regular feet!

Colton Brightens the Day

C: Where did you get all this amazing food?!
Me: The burrito is from Taco Del Mar and the fruit is from work.
Mmm, leftovers.

C: The yogurt will make the fruit even deliciouser! Because yogurt is yummy and will make it even more yummier.

C: I see the Christmas star! No, that's not it. The Christmas star only comes out on Christmas.
But I did see a shooting star tonight...

Me: Whoa! Go try again. And this time take off your clothes before you put on your jammies.
C: It gives me more padding! For more protection.
Me: Protection from what?
C: Falling. It's more protectionned.

My heart is so heavy tonight. All my love to CT.

Colton Gets Mad

C: I NEVER WANT TO GO SHOPPING WITH YOU AGAIN!
Me: I never want to go shopping with you again either right now.  That was not fun.
C: YES IT WAS!
Me: No it wasn't!

C was mad.  Feel the madness ~
C: I'm just gonna keep staring at you!

In a moment of frustration ~
Me: I'm going to have to talk to Santa about this behavior.
C: He won't know about that.
Me: He knows.  He's watching you.
C: He can't see through walls, Mom.
Me: Yes he can.  He's magic.

Oh Christmas Colton

C: My head really hurts!
Me: How come?
C: I think I know the answer to the problem. It's because my eyebrows only go up this high!

Granddad's tree!
C: You're driving me crazy when you always tell me to pick up my clothes every time!

Decorating with Granddad and Grandma

C: I saved almost probably half of the Earth!
Playing Angry Birds Star Wars

And the stockings were hung
over the changing table with care...
C: We could put up this sign that says 'how how how.'
Me: It says Ho Ho Ho.

Colton's tree, since we don't know where else to put one this year!

Colton Places an Order

C: Do you know how you can get a touchdown when you're dribbling?
Me: How?
C: You just throw up and dribble.
Uhm... I don't think I want to do that.

C: I was thinking in my brains, do you know how I got that good?

C: I'm gonna order a Kindle Fire for Christmas so I can play Angry Birds Star Wars!
Me: You don't order things for Christmas.  You can write a letter to Santa and ask for things.
C: I'm gonna order lots of things!  A Kindle Fire... a Dream Lite... Angry Birds pillows and some art supplies! So, can you write those things down for me?
Me: I'm not the one writing to Santa. Santa doesn't come for me.  I'm too old.
C: I'll ask for things for you!  I'll ask him for a paper heart since I can't find your other one.
Me: Oh thanks.

Me: Go get your book.
C: And then I need to rest.  My energy is very sore.

C: I loosened number one [chocolate advent calendar], so I can open it easier!

C: We have this discussion every night!  I can't sleep because there's too much noise!
(I'm sitting downstairs with nothing on but the light)

Colton on Eggnog

C: I didn't even know eggnog tasted like that! I hadn't even had eggnog before.

C: Do you like how yummy the eggnog is?

C: Next time we buy eggnog, remember to use it. And Mom? Next time, when it's Christmas, we can drink a lot of it.

Me: How was it?
C: Pretty good.
Me: Just pretty good?
C: I think it's all the way good.  In fact, it makes me want a whole can of it!

C: When you hear Dad open the door, will you please tell me? Because I want to give him a hug!

C: Can you give this to Dad from me? And I'm gonna sign it so he knows which me it's from.

C: We played guns all day today at Jordan's house!
Me: I don't want to hear about that. You know I don't like that.
C: Why?
Me: Because I don't like guns and killing, remember?
C: Well Mom, remember we're still young and are still learning.
