Colton Gets Dressed

C: That clock has stopped.
Me: I saw that.  I'll wind it the next time I'm over there.
C: Let's do it after breakfast so we're all full.
Me: Sounds good.
I didn't know you can't wind the clock when you're hungry...

Me: You beat me at getting dressed!
C: I always knew I was better than you.
Me: Faster. You were faster, not better.
;)

Chutes & Ladders with Granddad 11/29
C: Do you think Santa Claus is at the mall yet?
Me: Why do you want to see Santa?
C: Because I want to tell him what I want for Christmas!

C: I put my stocking on top so Santa knows that I'm first!

Me: What are you going to give the babies for Christmas?
C: A pen that reads to them so they can learn to read. Is that nice of me?

C: I tried everything but not everything.

Me: You need to take a bath tonight.
C: But I don't want to take a bath until after Santa Claus comes!
Me: But Santa doesn't visit stinky boys.
C: I will just close my door and none of the stink will get out!
All that complaining and he's been playing in the bath for like 20 mins now..

Happy Monday!

C: Why can we not skate on whatever we're on?

C: Why are you bigger than me?
Dad: Because I'm older than you.
C: What if I was one inch older than you?

C: My pants have buttons on them to keep them standing up!

C: Look, my lip is all sparkley!

Dad: What should Santa bring the babies?
C: More diapers.  They're almost out of diapers, right Mom?

Colton Is Winning

Seattle trip with Oma & Opa 11/25

C: What if you stayed up to see Santa come?
Me: I don't know, what if?
C: Then you'd be really tired.

C: Have I been a real good boy every day?
Me: You sure have!

Aquarium trip with Oma & Opa 11/25
Dad: You've had dessert.
C: But I didn't get enough.  Can I have some pie?

C: Is it Christmas Eve today?
Me: Nope, not today.
C: Why?
Me: Because Christmas isn't for another month.
C: I don't like it when it's not Christmas-time! It hurts my feelings!

Cooking with Grandma

C: I'd like to try winning!

It's Beginning to Look a Lot like Christmas

Playing Uno Attack at Friendsgiving
C: I wonder what will be in my presents!  Mom, can you make me a present for I can open it?

C: I want to go to the mall to play!
Me: Oh heck no!  Not on Black Friday!

C: Can I use your computer for a train set I want to order?

C: What do you think will be in your presents?
Me: I don't know. I got your brothers for Christmas.
C: What if you got a video game that I like to play?

Me: And are you going to be a very good boy?
C: Why?
Me: Remember, Santa only brings presents to good boys and girls.
C: And does the house need to be clean?
Me: Yep, we'll clean it in a little bit.
C: I'll clean up all my marbles!

C: What do you think will be in my presents?  I think it should be exciting and something I know how to do!  What if I got some new Legos?
Me: That would be pretty cool!
Heh, that is one of his Xmas gifts.

Me: What did you touch in the touch pool?  [at the Aquarium]
C: Something slimy!

Me: What was your favorite thing at the Aquarium?
C: The fish!
Me: What color was your favorite?
C: The dark one!

On a bookmark he got from Oma & Opa ~
C: Mom, I have to tell you something!  This is to tell you that it's time to stop reading and eat dinner!

He's playing his own Christmas music ~
C: This one is about keeping your head warm when you wear a hat. (Alouette)
C: This one is about jumping pigs in the snow. (Oh Susanna)
C: The next one that records is gonna be good because it's number two! (Camptown Races)
C: This one's about when spring comes up and winter goes down. (She'll be Comin' Around the Mountain)

C: I like it when Bridger and I eat the snow!  It tastes like peanut butter and jelly!

Colton Does Thanksgiving

Chutes & Ladders with Oma
Mom fail.  We had a fabulous Thanksgiving, but I took like 3 pictures yesterday. Hopefully we can steal from Opa.

Me: Would you like a sandwich?
C: No, I just like spicy eggs.

Granddad: Well, now I can't read it because it's upside-down.
C: But how 'bout you just try.
Granddad: I can't. It's upside-down.  How about you try?
C: I can't because I can't read!

Grandma: What do you call this?
C: A cooker!  (apron; last year he called it a 'maker')

C: I like it when you pay my guy home because he was tired.
Playing Trouble with Shannon.

C: How 'bout you give some to my mom, because she LOOOOVES coffee!
Granddad: No, this coffee is mine.  It's my birthday present.
C: Well, we could just juggle them!

C: Don't you wish everything was back to normal?
Me: Like what?
C: I see stars!
Me: What do you wish was back to normal?
C: I just saw two stars!
Me: Like before the babies came?
C: No.
Me: What isn't normal?
C: I don't know.

C: I'm full.  I think I just need to relax!  ... Can we have pie now?

Me: Do you want to watch the Polar Express?
C: I only like that movie at Christmas.
Liar, liar, pants on fire! He loves that movie/book/audio CD.

C: I keep not winning!
This is a problem especially when you're playing against yourself.

C: This marble didn't want to be shotted, but I shot it anyway.

C: How 'bout we clean up all these marbles so I can play with something else.  My house has to be all picked-up.
I have this in writing, kid!

C: Mom, I'm hungry.
Me: Do you want more oatmeal?
C: No, I want a granola bar.
Me: Okay, go grab one from the snack bowl.
C: I don't want the kind in the snack bowl, but nice try though!

Colton Licks the Bowl

C: Grandma Lori, every time my mom and I make cookies, she lets me lick the bowl!
Caption for the pic above.  No wonder he wanted to lick that bowl...it's as big as he is!

C: Look!  They have fall trees here!

C: Let's go play falling leaves!
Apparently the game is to pick up leaves on the deck and throw them over the railing.

Dad: ... other than to get completely depressed.
C: Dad, I'm dressed!
Dad: I know, but that's not what I said.  Thank you for getting dressed though.

Dad: You have major stick-em-up hair today.
C: That's because I took a bath last one night ago.

Me: Do you to go to sleep right away?
C: No, I just like to relax.

Colton Stays up Early

C: How's the mac & cheese coming?

C: Can I go back downstairs? I ate enough to keep me full!
Dad: Hahaha.  That will keep you full for what, 10 minutes?
1.5 hrs. But who's counting?

Me: We're not cooking while Dad is cooking.  You can make some pretend muffins.
C: But they won't come out of my computer and be yummy.

C: I would like a blanket to keep me snuggly and warm. And also, I should wear a helmet!

Me: Don't watch me, watch the movie.
C: I have enough eyes for both!

C: I am going to watch Dad's movie and stay up really early!

C: Can you help me find the lid? You're the best finder ever!

Lorayne: I came here to visit your mommy and baby brothers.
C: I see them oftener than you!
Lorayne: I know.  How do you like being a big brother?
C: Good!

C: My leg really hurts.  See Mom, it's really hurting!

C: Want to see me slide all around the Earth?
Me: Sure.
C: But I can't really slide that far.  I can if I go fast as a ROCKET!

Me: You told me you didn't like this kind of cookie.
C: But I will try them!  And they will be yummy!

Colton Gets a Jersey

#11, SJHA Rink Rats White!
Me: Do you need to be scooted in?
C: Yeah, I'm too close away.

C: I really love my baby brothers!

C: For my second breakfast, can I have toast?
Me: Sure.
C: Hey, can I have that toast?
Me: No, that's mine.
C: Why can't I have the first toast?
Me: Because this is my breakfast. I didn't have cereal first.
C: But there's plenty for ya!

C: I found both of the same things, but they're different. (dominoes)

C: Look, see, this quarter counter thing is for my computer. It keeps it running!  (dominoes)

Me: Jordan's coming to the gym.
C: Before we even leave?
Me: When we go, he'll be there.

C: Maybe, if I eat a good lunch, I can have some of that peanut butter candy or that fudge kind. I really like that fudge kind.

Happy Movember!

Colton on Snow

Me: Desy says it popcorn snowed last night.
C: Can I have some? I just want some regular popcorn.
LOL!!

C: I wish you could bike with me.
Me: I need a bike, huh?
C: You can get a motorcycle!
Me: Mmm, no thanks.  I don't think they are very safe.
C: But you wouldn't need any training wheels and you'd be way faster than me.

C: Mom, I really do want to fly.
Me too.

C: Mom, it's evening.
Me: Yep.
C: That means night in Spanish.

C: We made Tron music! All I could make was the motorcycle.  That's all I remembered.

C: There were a lot of ambulances in Snohomish.
Me: How many?
C: A lot!

Mommy Fixes

C: This particular rock I got a few days ago.

C: Can you come fix this baby's problem?

C: Are you arms big enough to hold both babies?
Me: Yep.
C: Dad has too!  But my arms aren't big enough yet.

C: I close the door on my hand and it really hurts!
Me: Do you need a kiss?
C: It's not really bleeding.
Me: Here, lemme kiss it.
C: You missed!
Me: Where was I supposed to kiss?
C: I don't know.  It stopped hurting.

C: I got these markers a few days ago.
Me: I think you got them at the hospital when your babies were born.
C: When I came out of your tummy?
Me: No, when your babies did.
C: Well. Let's just not argue.
I've got that in writing now, buster.

C: Mom, can you make me grow bigger without sleeping?
Me: Sorry, buddy.  No can do.

C: Can we just go to the park now? I need some time to play by myself!
