Colton and the Map
C: Jordan says that toy trains are bad for you. Is that not nice to say?
C: You know what, Mom? I don't like the number 30.
Me: Why?
C: Because it's not very high minutes.
C: Can I just have more scream time? Do you know what scream time is? It’s where I can watch TV!
C: I'm gonna show you where Minnesota is on my map of the whole Earth! (Map of the US)
C: And this is Phoenix, and this is Minnesota, and this is Idaho.
Me: And do you know what this state is?
C: No.
Me: This is Washington, where you live.
C: Don't you wish we could just go back to Phoenix?
Me: What's in Phoenix that you liked?
C: Oh, just that museum. That museum for kids!
C: I can't clean up. My engine is too exhausted.
C: I'm just sad that we don't get to go to the train store. We haven't done anything special in a long, long time.
I hear violins...
C: Mom, I'm still angry about not getting to do stuff when I want to do it.
C: I wish you could just come to Bridger’s birthday party.
Me: I wasn’t invited, buddy, but thank you. Besides, I’ve already seen Wall-E in the theatre.
C: When you were 6?
Me: More like when I was 30.
C: I think you were just 20.
