Colton on Where Babies Come From

C: When I was one, was I a baby?
Me: Yep.
C: Why was I a baby when I am one?
Me: Everybody is a baby when they're one.
C: Yeah, and when you were one, I was trying to pick you up when you came out of the ground.
Uh... so that's where babies come from.

Opa: ... gravity.
C: You said a bad word!
Me: Gravity isn't a bad word.

C: Don't hit your head, Fred!  My name is Fred!
Me: Or your toe, bro. Or your chin, Lynn.  Or your nose, Rose.
C: You're funny!
C: I like my kitty when
I hold him like this!

Me: Oma & Opa have to go home tomorrow.
C: Why?
Me: Because they have kitties that miss them when they're not home.  Don't you miss your kitty when you're not at home?
C: No!  And I'm gonna build a gate and not let them leave!
Me: But they'll be back to see us soon.
C: Oh.  Okay.

  1. Hehehe - babies from the ground. Sounds like some epic Greek myth to me.
