Hey Colton?

Break dancing at the ICM
C: Hey Mom? Hey Mom? Hey Mom?
Me: Hey Colton? Are you listening, Colton? Can you hear me, Colton?
C: Stop!  You can't talk to me 3 times!

C: I love broccoli!  I want to eat it every day until Saturday!

Me: Ick, where did our sun go?
C: It went to bed and today it's gonna go see its mama.
Me: Oh, that's nice of it.
C: Yeah!

C: When we get home, are you gonna take a nap?
Me: I might need one.  Are you gonna take one?
C: Nope!
Me: Figures.

C: Hey Mom, I wanna hear it some more!  (aka turn it up)

Me: Dad got us some new juice!
C: *gasp* Thanks for Dad!

C: This is my crooked house.  Does it look splendid?  (Lincoln Log house)

Counting Fast Cars

Me: Could you close the door for me, please?
C: Sure! Thanks for asking me!

C: I don't wanna go to bed by 8! I want to go to bed at 12!
Me: I'm not staying up!

C: I have a really fast car!  It's faster than a jet engine!

Me: Are you sure you don't need to go potty?  I can pause Dora for you.
C: No! I'm not going potty today! On Tuesday, I'll go potty.
Me: It is Tuesday.
C: No, on Saturday, I'll go potty.

Colton Gets Rid of His Old Lady

Me: Not so loud, you're hurting my head!
C gets his laptop out and turns on the music...
C: Is this better for your head, Mom?

C: I want to go to that fry store!
Me: I refuse.  You'd have to take me home!
C: But, I wanna go there!  (more whining)
...
C: Where are we going?
Dad: To the meat store to pick up our order.
C: And we have to take Mom by home.
Ha!

C: I'm gonna keep my eye on you! (wink)

C: Hey Mom, you're being a bummer.
Me: I am? Why?
C: Because I like you to.

C: I'm gonna send a hiking message to Dad.
Me: Where's your phone?
C: It's downstairs.
Me: Why?
C: Because I don't use it every time.  I like to play with other things else.  Okay?
Me: Okay.

C: It smells like train smoke!

C: I'm doing work stuff for work!

Watching the Rocketeer ~
Me: This movie has rockets!
C: I love this movie! I hadn't seen it in a long time!

Grandma & Granddad give C a bomber jacket & a 787 plane (as he's a 7-8-7 baby ~ isn't he darling?!
C: I'm gonna wear my new coat I got for Shannon's birthday!

Me: What was your favorite thing today?
C: Mmm, eating cake!

C: Mom, can I have more chocolate?
Me: I think we've had enough today!
C: But when can I have more chocolate?
Me: Maybe tomorrow.

C: Can I have my plane?  I won't fly it in the car!
Yeah, right.

C: I'm gonna build a rocket and it's gonna be uber-schmooper-big!

C: I just have to press two buttons and I can fly!

C: Mom, I'm tucking you in with a Thomas blankie so you can be all comfy! Here's another Thomas for you!

Colton on Where Babies Come From

C: When I was one, was I a baby?
Me: Yep.
C: Why was I a baby when I am one?
Me: Everybody is a baby when they're one.
C: Yeah, and when you were one, I was trying to pick you up when you came out of the ground.
Uh... so that's where babies come from.

Opa: ... gravity.
C: You said a bad word!
Me: Gravity isn't a bad word.

C: Don't hit your head, Fred!  My name is Fred!
Me: Or your toe, bro. Or your chin, Lynn.  Or your nose, Rose.
C: You're funny!
C: I like my kitty when
I hold him like this!

Me: Oma & Opa have to go home tomorrow.
C: Why?
Me: Because they have kitties that miss them when they're not home.  Don't you miss your kitty when you're not at home?
C: No!  And I'm gonna build a gate and not let them leave!
Me: But they'll be back to see us soon.
C: Oh.  Okay.

Colton Is Tired

C: Mom? Are you still tired?
Me: Yep.
C: I'm tired too.  I'm tired of you.  But I'm going to dream about you!  Are you going to dream about me?
Me: Probably.
C: You have to dream about me if I dream about you.

Me: Thanks for getting the sun out for me. I appreciate it!
C: No, I didn't.  I was inside.

Me: Where did our sun go now?
C: It was too tired, and had to go to bed.

C: My mouse is sick.  I have to take its doctor.

C: I'm Buzz Lightyear's star-man-guy!

C: Is it okay if I hurt myself?
Me: No thank you!

C: Hey Mom, do you know how to fly?
Me: No.
C: You have to put your hands out like this, and say "OH INFINITY AND BEYOND!" and then fly over the mountain!

C: What's that picture?
Me: It's you taking care of the mouse.
C: Yeah, he had a feeling!  And he ate too much popcorn and choked, and had to go to the hospital where they took his temperature!

Oh, Infinity!

   C: Oh, infinity and beyond!
C: Can I smell your sock?
Me: I guess?
C: Hey Mom, my nose can't smell your sock.
Me: Yeah, it's all stuffed up, huh.

C: I'm at my date!  I'm tired and have to go to sleep.
Exciting date!

C: Goodnight, Mom! *kiss* Now you can go to sleep.  But we forgot to brush your teeth and floss.
Me: Better do that.
C: This toothpaste is very spicy.  It tastes like spicy eggs!
...
C: Okay, rinse & spit.  Now we have to floss.  Open your mouth!  Harder!

C: I have a super-dooper-awesome-great idea!

C: Why is this not staying up here?
Me: That looks dangerous.
C: But I want to do that!

C: I'm super-dooper brave!  And I know a lot about stuff!

C: Was that a cool fly?

Colton on Teasing

C: Can I have some clothes?
Me: Nah, I think you should just stand there and be cold.
C: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Me: I was teasing, yes, go get some clothes.
C: I don't like it when you tease me.
...
C: Why did you trip me?
Me: I didn't trip you.  I teased you.
C: Oh. I don't like that.

C: Maybe we can eat like a family again!
Which means simply sitting at the table together.  Doesn't even need to be all of us.

Me: What should we do today, Mr. Sicky?
C: I have a good idea! Let's stay home!
Me: Sounds good.

C: Are you sending a message to me?

Me: The blanket is big enough for both of us.
C: No, it's just for ONE KID!  Not for girls!  Just for boys!

C: Is that broccoli?
Me: Nope, it's celery.
C: I don't like it.
Me: I think you might with some peanut butter on it.
C: I do like it! But you don't!  Celery makes you grow! Look at my muscles.  My muscles are as big as yours!
Dressed himself, but managed to get his jammies on backwards.

Silly Colton Is Silly

C: Something hurts on my face.
Me: Are your lips chapped?  Would you like some chapstick?
C: No, it's just my mustache that hurts.

Me: Kiwis have lots of vitamin C in them to help you get over your cold.
C: This kiwi doesn't look like A-B-C, it looks like directions!

C: Mom, I left this juice out over night.  It's 'spired.  (expired)

C: Silly Colton!  I was trying stuff that was silly.

C: Maybe we can go play outside.
Me: It's pretty cold out there, buddy.
C: You can wear my snow pants.
Me: They're a little short.
C: When I'm big enough, on Sunday, I'll get you a big, big, large one that's all the way up to the ceiling!
Me: Those will probably fit!

C: I'm gonna go downstairs to get my books, if they're still alive.

We Are Family

Colton & Jordan drive the
fire truck puzzle 2/23
6am, dark, on our way to Sarah's ~
C: When is it going to be morning time?

C: I see the moon!  It's chasing us!

C: In the car, on the way to Nana's, we saw a train!  And it was pretty awesome!

C: Maybe we could eat like a family again!
As opposed to other nights when we're not family?
