Swim lessons 4/13

Poor bubba got sick on the way to the gym tonight ~  
Me: We're going home, buddy.
C: But when are we going to come back and take your class?
Me: Don't worry, buddy, we'll come another day when your tummy is feeling better. 

Me: We'll go to the doctor in the morning if you're still feeling sick.
C: And not come home?
Me: We'll come home; probably with some new medicine. 
He's really trying to wrap his mind around the going to the doctors and not bringing the babies home yet :)

C: I told my tummy to settle down today!
Me: Did it listen?
C: No, tummies don't talk!

C: When are you gonna get a new car?
Me: I don't know.  I don't like buying new cars.
C: I like you when you buy new cars.
Me: What new car should I get?
C: You can get a blue one, like Dad's! 

C: Is this enough lunch to have candy?
Me: No, you need to eat all of it.
C: Are you sure?
Me: I'm sure.

Colton Likes It Loud!

Me: I made some fruit salad with blueberries and kiwi and pear.  Everything you like!
C: Oh, thanks Mom!  Thanks for doing that! I appreciate it!

C: Let's be silly!  Let's put chocolate on our nose!

Me (to Dad in chat): Colton is hanging upside down just asking to be tickled.
Dad: Do eeeet! Tell him Daddy told you to do it.
Me: *tickle*  Dad said to do it!
C (to the computer): DAD, DON'T SAY THAT!!!

C: My Dad says to tickle you!  Tickle, tickle!
Me: *tickle, tickle*
C: Hey Mom, settle down! You're being silly!

C: Mom, can I watch some TV?
Me: No, I like the quiet.
C: I like it loud!

C: Can I watch some TV? I'm really sure.
Me: LOL, I know you're sure, but it's nice to have it off sometimes too.

Colton on Nutrition

Me: Ugh, Mama ate too much pizza.
C: You shouldn't eat too much.  You should eat nutritious food like watermelon, cantaloupe, and applesauce!

C: You can't have ice cream every day!  ... but Mom, can we stop on the way home and get some ice cream?
Me: No, because we've already had ice cream one time today.

C: I'm cross at my mom.
Me: I'm cross at you too!  Now, put your shoes on!

C: Why are you carrying me?
Me: Because we're home and it's nigh-night time.
C: But I'm still hungry.
Me: Maybe tomorrow, buddy.  Have good dreams. 
C: Zzzzzzzzzzzz

Conversations About Cake

Hey Dad! Shirt on my nose!

C: I need some more candy; I'm starting to starve!

Me: You don't have to wake up early tomorrow, buddy.
C: But I want to wake up early!  When my driver opens my shed door, I will still be sleeping.

C: I'm super happy!
Me: I'm glad you're happy!
C: I took a happy bite!  Is that enough dinner to eat some cake?

C: I want cake every day!  I want cake for breakfast, lunch, and dinner!
Me: That's a lot of cake!

C: Are the babies here yet?
Me: Nope, they’re too small.
C: Are you going to the doctor?
Me: Yes, on Tuesday.
C: Can I come?
Me: No, buddy, not this time. 
C: But I will miss you!
Me: I'll miss you too!
C: Will they take the babies out of your tummy?
Me: No, buddy, the babies aren’t coming home on Tuesday.
C: Why not?
Me: They’re too little.
C: How big are they?
Me: About the size of your fist.
C: Huh?
Me: About the size of a kiwi.
C: But I’m not round!
Me: LOL, neither are the babies, but they are all curled up.

C: But I don't like this chicken. I like McDonald's chicken.
Me: McDonald's is gross. It's not real chicken.
C: Is it pretend chicken?
Me: Yes.
C: But I like pretend food.
Me: *shudder*

C: I have a problem.
Me: What's that?
C: I don't want to live on Earth.
Me: You can move when you get older. G'nite, buddy.

Colton Is Happy!

C: I want to eat dinner downstairs.  Would that be a good idea?
Me: Probably not.  Chili is kinda messy.
C: But I'll keep it in my mouth! And when it's warm and gooey and almost to my tummy, I'll put another bite in!

C: I run really fast because I take my vitamins!

Me: What was your favorite part of the day?
C: All of it!

C: We must be really careful!  Those wagons of marables are pretty naughty!

C: Hello, ma'am!

Me: Hello, sir!

C: No, I'm not a sir!  We're both ma'ams! 

C: I am so happy!
Me: I'm glad you're happy.
C: Are you really happy?
Me: I'm pretty tired.
C: And just a little happy?
Me: And happy.

Cartman, the Vampire

C: Can I go for a bike ride?
Dad: It’s too rainy outside.
C: But Cartman’s all rained on, and he’s sparkly!

C: Mom, after dinner, you can go to sleep!
Me: Woohoo!

C: When I saw a ghost, I was not scared.
Me: Yeah?
C: When I saw a ghost, it was just a little engine.  It was green with stripes, and his name was Henry. 

C: In Toby & the Ghosts, there were two tracks!  One to the castle and one to the mind (mine).  First he went to the castle, and then to the mind. And Toby was rather scared, but Toby was glad to go back home.  Sir Topham Hatt said that the castle and the mind were a good place. 

C: You're making me grumpy when you don't stop at stop signs.
Me: I do stop at stop signs.
C: My car stops when I reach places.

We Do Not Eat Our Cartmans

Me: I'm really hungry, should I eat Cartman?
C: No, he's made of dohs!  (doh=dog fur)

C: I'm screwing a lot of stuff!
Uhh...  (he was using a screwdriver)

C: I don't want to sleep in my old bed!  I'm going to wait to sleep til my bunk beds come! 

C: I really love Red Robin! It's my favorite place!

C: It's not melon, it's 'lope! (cantaloupe)

Me: What was your favorite part of the day?
C: Eating my fries.

C: I smell popcorn!  (after the pizza came out of the oven)

Dad: Uncle Justin is here!
C: Huh?
Dad: UNCLE JUSTIN IS HERE! Are you deaf?
C: Yeah. Just don't yell.

C to Lisa: You need to go back to the couch and talk!

Sunshine: Making Tummies Happy Everywhere

C: Mom, there is sunshine! It makes my tummy happy!

C: Hey Mom, can I have some more frosting? (from the cake)

Me: Do you want strawberries on your cake?
C: It makes me so delicious!

C: I like this boat shirt. And the tag has food on it! (picture of fruit, LOL)

Me: What was your favorite part of the day?
C: When I got my boat shirt! (Thank you, Oma & Opa!)

Mmm, Bubblegum!

Me: Eat your steak, buddy.
C: It tastes like bubblegum! 
Me: It does?
C: Yeah, and I chew it all by myself!

C: *GASP* A fruit cake! (sees a fruit torte)

Clerk: What's your name?
C: Wall-E! (said how Wall-E the robot says it)
Me: No, it's not.
Clerk: My name's SpongeBob. 
Checker: Would you like SpongeBob to help you out tonight?

C: COME ON LIGHT!
Me: You sound like your mother.
C: No, because I am the mom!
Me: Who's the dad?
C: You are!
Me: And who is the kiddo?
C: Dad is!

Me: Ugh, I am so tired of this rain.
C: I know where the clouds come from.
Me: You do?  Where?
C: They come from Rainbow Valley.
Me: Could you tell them to stay there and let some sun shine?
C: After the rain comes the sun! 
Me: I hope so. 

Me: Our babies are twins, like Bill & Ben. (Twin trains on Thomas)
C: Yeah, and I'm a twin to you!
