Colton Is Supervisor Material

Bubble boy!
C: I am too big up here, and you can't come up because I'm so big!

Me: Look, buddy, Christmas lights!
C: Why did you not put them up properly?
Me: What's wrong with them?
C: Why did you not put them up right?
Me: Sigh!  They're fine...

C: Hey Mom, will you play this game with me? First you drop the mara-bles like this, and if you want them to go through, you put them like this. There, I showed you how to play!

Me: In a minute!
C: I want you to have a minute for one minute.
Me: Okay!

Me: What did you get on your lip?
C: Mustard!
Me: I think it's hot chocolate.
C: Yeah, but you still can't drink me.

C: This raspberry has hair on it.
Dad: No, they're just fuzzy.

Me: You have stick-em-up hair today.
C: No, it's curly hair!

C: Stop that dancing!  Because if you keep dancing you will get hurt!
Me: Why?
C: I will stop you dancing! *comes over & pinches my leg*
Me: Ow!
C: Stop that dancing!  Because if you keep dancing your body will get danced up and you will fall down!

C: Do you want squetti with your sauce?  (cooking at the museum)

C: It's dirty and dusty in here, and you can't come in because you will get all dirty!

Putting gloves on the Giving Tree @ the museum
C: I'm douging & digging, and douging, and digging!

Colton Makes Xzibit Proud

C: When I go to Kathy's & Bridger's house, I'm going to be in a meeting!

Me: Uh-oh, there's a broken down car over there.
C: Huh?
Me: That's why we're stopped.
C: But our house is just around the corner and over the bridge.
Me: That's right. How did you get so smart?
C: That's what big boys do! They knock each other over! And throw oranges at each other!
Me: Uhhh...

C: Look at all the stars, Mom!
Me: Wow! How many do you see?
C: It's too hard for me to count.

C: I have pasta in my car.
Me: You do? What color is your car?
C: Red and black.
Me: With racing stripes?
C: Yeah! Red and yellow and green ones! And a big funnel!
X to the Z would be proud.

C: Hello ma'am!
...
C: Mom, why are you not talking?
Me: I don't want to play the hello ma'am game.
C: Should I say hello pasta?
Me: Only if you're talking to the pasta.
C: No, you're the pasta!

C: I'm gonna eat your delicious dinner!
Me: Then what will I eat?
C: Fish!
Me: Mmm, salmon or sushi?  And what will Daddy eat?
C: Mac and cheese French fries!

Colton Wants Pasta

Me: Guess what I have?
C: What is it?!
Me: Christmas lights!
C: Oh boy! I can't wait!

Me: What do you want for dinner?
C: Pasta!
...
C: What are you looking for?
Me: Tortellini.
C: But I want pasta!
Me: Tortellini is pasta.
C: Oh. I don't see any tortelzini?
Me: Nope, I think we're out.

C: I'm going to eat this! (helping me make pupcakes, and of course sampling the mix, a handful at a time)
Me: Hey, no coughing on the pupcakes!
C: Well, where can I cough?

C: I am going to build a fire!
Me: Oh thanks, I am very cold.
C: Will you be cold when I build this fire?
Me: Nope, I'll be all better!
C: But I can't leave it on long or it will run out of batteries! (flashlight)
Me: And that would be a shame.

Zipping up the little man's coat & he reaches up to grab at my hair ~
C: Tickle, tickle!

Colton Is Helpful

See Mom! I'm wearing your bracelet!

Last night ~
Me: We're going home to have dinner before hockey.
C: But I don't want dinner.
Me: I'll eat it!
C: Oh thanks, Mom!

This morning ~
Me: You need to put on some pants, or you're gonna have chilly buns!
C: No, I just want eggs for breakfast.

C: Can I open this?  (An advent calendar that he has been impatiently waiting to open)

Me: We need to call Oma today to say Happy Birthday!
C: Is everybody gonna be there?
Me: We'll be there in 3 weeks!

C: I can't find my crayons.
Me: I see some crayons, but where's your tub?
C: In here (takes me to the bathroom)
Me: Wrong tub, buddy.

Dad: B-l-u-e-b-e-r-r-i-e-s are on sale at the store.
Me: But Colton doesn't like blueberries!
C: Yes I do!
Me: You need to help Mama remember them at the store.
C: They're blue, and they have yummy stuff inside.

Me: Yes, boss!
C: I'm not the boss!
Me: Who's the boss?
C: You are!

Colton Goes to the End

Tips vs Ice.. We lost
C: Mom, my teeth are cold!  (chattering teeth this morning)

Me: Did you have fun at gymnastics?
C: Yeah, we went into the PIT! And went from one end, to the other end, to the other end, to the other end, to the other end, to the other end, to the other end, to the other end, to the other end, to the other end, to the other end, *gasp* to the other end!

C: Hello, hockey ma'am!

C: There's something strange in my bell!

C: Will there be more hockey in the morning?

C: 55!  Can you count that high?
Me: I don't know, I'll need some help.
C: First you have 50, and then 5, then you have 55!

C: In the morning, I am going to the forest. And I will deliver my logs and trees and food to the children. I will feed them mac and cheese, and when they are done, I will give them more food.

C: You can't talk to me, I'm too far away!  (several seats down at the arena)

Colton's Boots Are Made to Not Take Off

C: I'm going to give bones to Shrek & Cartman. Shrek gets the green one and the pink one goes to Cartman!

C: I tied these boots up to me so you can't take them off!

C: Is Cartman wearing socks?

Me: Did you make a campfire today?
C: Yeah, but don't get too close to the hot fire!  I parked my fire truck close, but it is sick and needs new batteries.

Me: Did you make marshmallows?
C: Yeah, for Dad & Cartman. But I can make one for you!  I'm going to go get them.  They're in my car.

C: First I have to light the campfire.  I made chocolate and cranberry marshmallows for you!

C: You know, I've been thinking...we could fall down like THIS!

C: I'm putting in a new battery because the old batteries are digging out! So I'm screwing it in! (with a colored pencil...)

C: Mom, why are you tired?
Me: I got up early.
C: You need to forget to get up early!

C: I'm going to sleep here with you, but don't sleep in my sleeping spot!

Colton on Santa

Dad: I saw a T-h-o-m-a-s toy that Colton immediately said he needed.  And I said he should ask Santa for it.
C: At the mall?  Santa's at the mall!

C: This is not Bob's, this is the new fry store!

Dad: I'm gonna blow your belly!
C: No, you can't!! It's in the microwave!
Dad: Well, whose belly is this?
C: Mom's!  Go blow Mom's belly!
Dad: Mama has a mighty cute belly!

C: At Nana's, I made perfect applesauce!  It had peppers, onions, and cinnamon in it. The onions were riping on the tree when I went outside to get the mail.  And I put in A LOT of mail, so I had to take it out of the mailbox.

Colton Goes to the Expo

Rocking the Bondi Band
C: MOM, STOP THAT SWINGING SO I CAN PUSH YOU!

Me: Where'd we go today, buddy?
C: To Starbucks, to the Marathon [expo] and to the New Park [Camano Island Rotary Park]!

C: Somebody [Audrey] won't quit following me!

Me: Did you ask Audrey for that?
C: No, she gave it to me.
Me: No, you took it.
C: But she shared it.

Colton Has Weird Dreams

                 Lions Park
Me: Good morning, buddy!  Did you have a good sleep?
Colton looks at the measuring tape on the floor...
C: Yeah, and I dreamed of measuring you!
Me: Uhm, okay.

Me: Do you have a seahorse?
C: No!  Goldfish, Mama!
Me: Okay, your turn!
C: Do you have a choc-lical (tropical) fish?
Me: Nope, go fish!

Handing me a pile of Lincoln Logs ~
C: Here Mom, I made you pizza with milk and dip-dip (yogurt)!
Me: Mmm, yummy!
C: And here's some macaroni pizza!
Me: Om-nom-nom-nom... BURP!
C: *gales of laughter*

  Sometimes walking in the rain
 has its perks...

C: Hey Mom, here's your squetti (the multi-purpose Lincoln Logs again) and your napkin! But don't eat your napkin!
Me: No, I usually don't eat my napkin.
C: You just use it to clean your face when you get sauce all over it!

        Who needs that napkin?

C: I want my lights to twinkle!
Me: Like a star?
C: You twinkle like a diamond!

Awww...
